Plover Census

Nature Saskatchewan is once again conducting a province wide Piping Plover Census which will occur at one or more lakes, wetlands, and/or sloughs within your rural municipality. Piping Plovers are an endangered shorebird and surveys entail walking shorelines on foot and counting all adult Piping Plovers with binoculars or spotting scopes. Surveyors will be wearing Piping Plover hats and have a vehicle placard indicating that they are part of the survey along with Nature Sask's contact info. Surveys will take place between May 27th - June 16th.
